Product listings are subject to periodic testing and inspection protocols to monitor the products compliance with the specified standard(s) on an on-going basis.
TrimJoist® is a prefabricated metal plate connected trimmable end wood floor truss designed and manufactured in accordance with ANSI/TPI 1- 2014: National Design Standard for Metal Plate Connected Wood Truss Construction. Proprietary metal connector plates are used to transmit forces from one wood member to one or more other wood members, where wood members are connected using integral teeth formed from the metal plate and subsequently embedded into each wood member at a truss joint.
Horton World Solution’s Hybrid Sheathing Panels (HWS-HSP) are approved for:
- Resistance to transverse loads due to wind and gravity pressures on building surfaces.
- Resistance to lateral loads for assemblies used as lateral force resisting systems for wind pressures on building surfaces.
- Use as a water resistive barrier.
- Use as a Class A interior finish material.
- Use as a Class III vapor retarder.
- Use as an interior finish material up to 8 inches thick without the use of a thermal barrier in accordance with UL1715, A NFPA 13, NFPA 13R or NFPA 13D sprinkler system must be installed.
- High-Velocity-Hurricane- Zone impact resistance.
- Thermal resistance.
- Tensile strength for wind suction and cladding attachments applied directly to the HWS-HSP.
DA3D-CWS is approved for:
- Resistance to transverse loads due to wind and gravity pressures on building surfaces.
- Resistance to lateral loads for assemblies used as lateral force resisting systems for wind pressures on building surfaces.
- Resistance to compressive loads.
- Resistance to uplift loads.
- Resistance to compressive and uplift loads for DA3D-CWS Proprietary Lintels.
- A Water Resistive Barrier (WRB) is not required in accordance with the pertinent regulations.
When used and installed in accordance with this Listing and the manufacturer installation instructions, Plantd Structural Panel shall be approved for the following roof applications:
- As equal to or better in performance than 7/16″ 24/0 OSB structural panels and is a direct substitute for 7/16″ 24/0 OSB in roof sheathing applications.
- Resistance to transverse loads due to wind and gravity pressure.
- Resistance to diaphragm loads in roof applications.
ICON ScrewJoist is approved for use as joists in flooring applications, including interior floors and exterior deck construction.
Design is a single panel that replaces four layers of materials used in traditional exterior wall systems — exterior insulation, OSB sheathing, waterproof & vapor barriers, and metal lath.
When used and installed in accordance with this Listing and the manufacturer installation instructions, No-Burn® Plus is approved for:
- No-Burn® Plus protection does not affect the allowable design stresses allowed for untreated OSB and lumber.
- The No-Burn® Plus coated load bearing wall assembly met the requirements for a 120 minute fire resistance rating when tested in accordance with ASTM E119.
- OSB and lumber protected with No-Burn® Plus meet the requirements where surface burning characteristics are required to be in accordance with ASTM E84 extended 20 minutes, ASTM E2768, and NFPA 255.
- No-Burn® Plus meets the required water vapor transmission properties for a Class III vapor retarder.
- No-Burn® Plus protected OSB and lumber meet the water resistance requirements of ASTM D4585.
- The degradation rate of CPVC is not increased by long-term contact with No-Burn® Plus protected OSB and lumber.
SPAX® PowerLags® are used to attach wood framing members in conventional light-frame construction and provide resistance against head pull-through, withdrawal, and shear loads.
SPAX® #6, #8, #9, #10, and #14 Construction Screws are used to attach wood framing members in conventional light-frame construction and provide resistance against head pull-through, withdrawal, and shear loads.
SPAX® #8 and #9 PowerTrim™ Screws are used to attach wood, composite wood, or composite (PVC) trim and fascia to wood main members in conventional light-frame construction and provide resistance against head pull-through and withdrawal.
SIPTP and SIPLD fasteners are approved for attaching vented nailable insulation panels in roof assemblies with a maximum 2" vent space plus a maximum of 8.5" of foam insulation (total of 10.5" space between nailable insulation panels face and roof deck) to wood decking, or a non-vented nailable insulation panel with a total of 10.5" space between the nailable insulation panel face and roof deck.
SPAX® PowerLag® Screws are used in the construction of walls that meet the requirements for the following applications:
1. To attach minimum 1 1/2 inch thick wood trusses, rafters, or floor joists to wood walls
2. To attach wall bottom plates to rim boards in the construction of walls
3. To attach minimum 1 1/2 inch thick wood studs to wall top and bottom plates
SIPTP fasteners are used for attaching Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) and Composite Insulation Board (nail base) to wood framing, concrete, and masonry block.
SIPLD fasteners are used for attaching SIPs and Composite Insulation Board (nail base) to wood framing, light gauge steel framing, concrete, and masonry block.
SIPHD fasteners are used for attaching SIPs and Composite Insulation Board (nail base) to cold-formed steel (CFS) framing.
XFT14P-4000 fasteners are used to attach wood framing members in conventional light-frame construction and provide resistance against head pull-though, withdrawal, and shear loads.
SPAX® 5/16" T-Star Washer Head PowerLag® Fasteners are used for attaching multi-ply wood members including trusses, sawn lumber and engineered wood products.
OX Sheathing products are a structural sheathing composed of pressure-laminated plies consisting of high-strength cellulosic fibers placed in proprietary orientation(s) to provide a given set of strength properties. These fibers are specially treated to be water resistant and are bonded with a proprietary water-resistive adhesive. A protective polymer layer is applied on both sides of the panel, and foil facings may be additionally applied on one or both faces. Insulated sheathing product have a polyiso foam sheathing adhered to the structural sheathing component.
Owens Corning Lumber is a continuous glass fiber reinforced High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) with (less than 25%) calcium carbonate in base HDPE resin. ≥ 5% of overall total weight is fibrous glass and ˂ 2.5% by weight of organic surface binder
Horton World Solution Composite Sheathing Panel™ (HWS-CSP), when installed in accordance with this Listing and the manufacturer installation instructions, is approved for:
- Use as an interior finish material.
- Use without a prescriptive thermal barrier up to eight inches thick.
OX-IS® Structural Insulation, OX-IS® HS (High Shear) Structural Insulation and SI-Strong Structural Insulation are structural insulated sheathing panels for use in the following applications as:
- Wall sheathing in buildings constructed in accordance with the IBC and IRC for light-frame wood and steel construction.
- Structural wall sheathing to provide lateral load resistance (wind and seismic) for braced wall panels used in light-frame construction.
- Structural wall sheathing to provide resistance to transverse loads for wall assemblies used in wood construction.
- Insulating sheathing applied as infill to portions of walls that are not designed as braced wall panels or shear walls.
- Insulated sheathing in accordance with the IRC and IECC Section C402.
- An approved Water Resistive Barrier (WRB) in accordance with the IBC and IRC when installed with approved Construction Tape on all sheathing seams
- An air barrier material as part of an air barrier assembly in accordance with the IRC and IECC Section C402, the manufacturer installation instructions and this Listing.
- An approved draftstop material when installed in accordance with Section 3.9 and Section 4 of this Listing.
Thermo-Ply® Red Structural Sheathing panels are used in the following applications:
- Wall sheathing in buildings constructed in accordance with the IRC and IBC for light-frame wood construction.
- Structural wall sheathing to provide lateral load resistance (wind and seismic) for braced wall panels used in light-frame wood construction.
- Wall sheathing in buildings constructed in accordance with the IBC requirements for Type V light-frame construction.
- Structural wall sheathing to provide resistance to transverse loads for wall assemblies used in light-frame wood construction.
- Structural wall sheathing to provide resistance to uplift loads for wall assemblies used in light-frame wood construction.
- An approved alternative Water Resistive Barrier (WRB) when installed in accordance with Section 3.11 and Section 4 of this Listing.
- An approved air barrier material when installed in accordance with Section 3.12 and Section 4 of this Listing.
- An approved draftstop material when installed in accordance with Section 3.13 and Section 4 of this Listing.
Thermo-Ply® Blue Structural Sheathing panels are used in the following applications:
- Wall sheathing in buildings constructed in accordance with the IBC and IRC for light-frame wood construction.
- Structural wall sheathing to provide lateral load resistance (wind and seismic) for braced wall panels used in light-frame wood construction.
- Wall sheathing in buildings constructed in accordance with the IBC requirements for Type V light-frame construction.
- Structural wall sheathing to provide resistance to transverse loads for wall assemblies used in light-frame wood construction.
- Structural wall sheathing to provide resistance to uplift loads for wall assemblies used in light-frame wood construction.
- An approved alternative WRB when installed in accordance with Section 3.6 and Section 4 of this Listing.
- An approved air barrier material when installed in accordance with Section 3.7 and Section 4 of this Listing.
- An approved draftstop material when installed in accordance with Section 3.8 and Section 4 of this Listing.
Nova™ and Yukon™ Fasteners are used to attach wood framing members in conventional light-frame construction and provide resistance against withdrawal, head pull-through, axial, and shear loads.
CLG and BLG fasteners are used to attach wood framing members in conventional light-frame construction and provide resistance against withdrawal, head pull-through, axial, and shear loads.
NOVA™ #16 Fasteners are used to connect ledger boards to studs through zero, one, or two layers of gypsum.
SMARTci™ can be installed over substrates including cold-formed steel wall studs, masonry, concrete, or roof decks. It is used in buildings constructed in accordance with IBC/IRC requirements for Type I-V construction. SMARTci™ provides the following, when used to attach exterior cladding to the building envelope: 1.) Transverse load resistance (wind and seismic), 2.) Thermal resistance (provides a thermal break between the cladding and wall framing), and 3.) Resistance to gravity loads induced by the weight of the cladding materials.
EnergyShield® Pro is a polyisocyanurate (polyiso) insulation board that includes a coated aluminum foil facer material on the front side and a reflective aluminum facer on the backside (ASTM C1289 Type I, Class 1 and 2). The products are considered Class I vapor retarders at all thicknesses.
EnergyShield® CGF Pro is a polyiso insulation board that includes a coated glass facer material on both sides (ASTM C1289 Type II, Class 2 sheathing).
EnergyShield® Ply Pro is a polyiso insulation board that includes glass facers on both sides and is bonded on one side to an APA-TECO rated exposed fire retardant treated plywood (ASTM C1289 Type V).
ThermalStar® Structural Wall Insulation R3 and ThermalStar® Structural Wall Insulation R5 are approved for:
- Use as a Class II vapor retarder.
- Use as a water resistive barrier (WRB).
- Use as insulated sheathing.
- Use to resist transverse loads on wall assemblies used in light-frame wood construction.
- Use to resist wind loading.
- Use as an alternative to the WSP and CS-WSP wall bracing provisions of the IRC.
- Use as an air barrier material.
EnergyShield®, EnergyShield® Pro, EnergyShield® Pro2, EnergyShield® CGF, and EnergyShield® CGF Pro are approved for:
- Use as a Water Resistive Barrier (WRB).
- Use as an air barrier material in accordance with the IECC (EnergyShield® CGF, EnergyShield® CGF Pro, EnergyShield® Pro, and EnergyShield® Pro 2 only).
- Use as part of an air barrier assembly in accordance with the IECC (EnergyShield® Pro and EnergyShield® Pro 2 only).
- Use in resisting transverse loads in accordance with the IBC and IRC.
EnergyShield® XR brand insulation is used as continuous insulation. EnergyShield® XR brand insulation is often used in this application due to its high resistance to thermal energy loss per inch of thickness.
EnergyShield® XR may be installed below grade in areas designated as very heavy termite infestation probability in the following locations:
- Under slab foundations below grade.
- On the interior or exterior face of foundation walls.
- Under interior or exterior foundation walls.
